A Michigan man has been charged with hacking into the database of a medical center and swiping over 65,000 employee information. Justin Sean Johnson, an IT Specialist at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) was accused by federal prosecutors of hacking into the center’s Oracle PeopleSoft database back in January of 2014 using the nicknames “DS” and “TDS”.

Data said to have been stolen by Johnson includes dates of birth, employee names, social security numbers, salary information, and addresses. The indictment accuses Johnson of gathering personal identifying data and tax information of thousands of center staff, then selling it to the dark web for an undisclosed sum.
