On Monday, New Jersey restaurants and casinos were given the green light by Governor Phil Murphy to reopen at limited capacity next week. Beginning Thursday, July 2nd, indoor dining at restaurants is permitted at 25% capacity, and casinos are allowed to operate at 25% capacity. Murphy stated he will be releasing additional health and safety guidelines in the next few days.
Meanwhile, barbershops, hair salons, and other personal care establishments are allowed to resume operations this Monday under Phase 2 of the governor’s COVID-19 reopening plan—but with some restrictions in place to slow the spread of the virus. This includes the mandatory enforcement of face masks, spacing out clients inside businesses, frequent temperature checks at the entrance, and a ban on walk-ins.
